Our Organization

The CSSS de Gatineau is the second largest CSSS in Quebec. Created in 2004, it provides health care and services to 230,000 people in the Hull, Gatineau and Aylmer sectors, as well as psychiatric care on a regional scale. It also provides specialized and super-specialized services to the population of other territories in the Outaouais and certain regions of Quebec. The organization has 5,500 employees, nearly 500 physicians, dentists and pharmacists, 10 midwives, and 750 volunteers.

The CSSS de Gatineau is also a constantly evolving organization comprised of over 30 sites and offering a continuum of integrated services and care:

  • Info-Santé;
  • Hull, Gatineau and Pierre-Janet Hospitals;
  • Maison de naissance de l’Outaouais birthing centre;
  • Family Medicine Unit affiliated with McGill University;
  • Three geriatric day hospitals;
  • Eight CLSC sites: Alexandre-Taché, De la Gappe, Gatineau Avenue, LeGuerrier, Le Couvent, Du Mont-Bleu, Saint-Raymond, and Saint-Rédempteur;
  • Four residential care centres: Foyer du Bonheur, La Pietà, Bon Séjour, and Renaissance.
